We shall continue to Perish for Placing our trust on the Mortal

I write this article in a lot of pain. My heart is broken and I can't help but allow tears to freely flow down my cheeks. We are perishing as God's  creation and its all because of our own doing.  We are creating our paths to self destruction. We continue to cry how things are not working for us and yet we are the ones  responsible. 

My life manual is the Bible. It has answers for all questions that come to me about life and how to live my life.  For this  article, I make reference to 1 Timothy 6:10 which says:

English Standard Version
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

King James Bible
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows

The seed sown among the thorns is the one who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

 

The sad reality is we have become lovers of money and worshippers of money. Its no wonder we vote in leaders not because they have an agenda for us but because they have dished out money to us. We place people highly and treat them with respect, not because we understand they are God's creation but because of the money they have and we want a piece of it. We see evils being done but because money is poured we allow the evil to prevail. A parent can witness the abuse of their child, but because the parent is given money they go silent and allow the offender to get another opportunity to abuse another child. We have been reduced to worshippers of mortal being instead of worshipping the Only True Immortal Being. 

Don't we realise we are slowly killing ourselves and the next generation? We fear death and yet don't realise how our day to day actions are a magnet for death to us. Its no wonder we get married to each other for money and when its no longer there we  break families. Its no wonder we look up to god fathers to get us jobs and when they die we can't stand on our own or last in that position. Or worse still we get jobs we are not qualified for because we have god fathers and when we are fired we go round saying other people are jealous of us. 

All the sorrows we are experiencing we have pierced it upon ourselves. The misery that we are experiencing today is because we are idolaters . We are worshipping wrong and that is why we continue to be unfruitful. Let us learn to do the right thing and put our trust on the Immortal Being who is God. All is vanity and until we realise we bear the fruits of our labour ( straying from God) alone, then we shall continue to suffer in anguish.

Its time we come to the realisation that we were created for a God given purpose.  When we stray from the purpose or do anything that jeopardises that purpose we shall continue to perish. May God give us a deep understanding and wisdom to understand Who we need to worship and trust and how to go about doing that.
